Let it Be es un mueble modular abierto a infinitas configuraciones. Los sofás modulares se pueden completar con estantes y sistemas de almacenaje que amplían sus funciones. Su estructura y sus suaves cojines de pluma parecen suspendidos sobre tiras de cuero. El pie, retraído, inesperadamente, respecto a la esquina, resalta la sensación de que los asientos flotan en el espacio. La pureza del diseño se funde con detalles de gran valor. Las costuras a la vista de piel y cuero evocan lujosos trabajos de guarnicionería y arneses.

El tapizado de la estructura y de los cojines está realizado con Pelle Frau®, también combinado con tela. Como alternativa se propone encuero combinado con Pelle Frau® o tela. Los estantes y tableros reposabrazos o respaldo están recubiertos de cuero. El bastidor es de aluminio trefilado con juntas de acero barnizadas color negro. La estructura del respaldo y del reposabrazos, acolchados con poliuretano expandido y guata de poliéster, es de madera maciza de chopo y multicapa de abedul. El mullido del asiento se obtiene mediante cinchas elásticas trenzadas. El cojín del asiento está acolchado con pluma de oca y guata de poliéster. Los pies de aluminio se han realizado realizados mediante moldeo con dos alturas y acabado rutenio o granallado bruñido.

Concepto y diseño

El sofá Let it Be se inspira en la famosa canción de los Beatles y pone de manifiesto, ya partiendo de su nombre, su filosofía relajada y acogedora, alejada de cualquier formalismo o convención. El diseño de Ludovica y Roberto Palomba reúne y reelabora también la idea antiquísima del triclinio romano, donde uno se acostaba, comía, conversaba y disfrutaba de momentos de ocio. Es precisamente esta libertad de uso el principio fundamental de un sofá pensado como refugio doméstico equipado, un espacio polivalente para vivir a nuestro propio ritmo.

Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba, arquitectos y diseñadores, fundaron Palomba Serafini Associati en 1994, con sede en Milán. La alta calidad de sus proyectos es su sello distintivo.
